What the media is saying about the G.O.P. debate number 2
So I am watching all the networks today and i stumbled onto foxNews at 6:45 PM eastern and saw the guliani responce to ron paul.
"Right now, we're building an embassy in Iraq that is bigger than the Vatican. We're building 14 permanent bases. What would we say here if China was doing this in our country or in the Gulf of Mexico? We would be objecting," Paul said in explaining his opposition to going to war in Iraq.
"They are delighted that we're over there because Usama bin Laden has said, 'I'm glad you're over on our sand because we can target you so much easier.' They have already now since that time they've killed 3,400 of our men and I don't think it was necessary," he continued.Paul was dead on with his assessment here. If we were not meddling in other countries affairs we would not have the animosity towards americans that we have now.
Giuliani than followed with
"That's really an extraordinary statement," Giuliani said, interrupting FOX News panelist Wendell Goler. "That's really an extraordinary statement, as someone who lived through the attack of Sept. 11, that we invited the attack because we were attacking Iraq. I don't think I have ever heard that before and I have heard some pretty absurd explanations for Sept. 11. I would ask the congressman withdraw that comment and tell us that he didn't really mean that."
Giuliani was caught lying here, as shown in the 9/11 commission report, he has in fact heard this statement in the past. Paul did not back down, and for good reason.
Unlike Giuliani, the congressman from Texas has actually read the record. The 9-11 Commission report detailed how bin Laden had, in 1996, issued "his self-styled fatwa calling on Muslims to drive American soldiers out of Saudi Arabia" and identified that declaration and another in 1998 as part of "a long series" of statements objecting to U.S. military interventions in his native Saudi Arabia in particular and the Middle East in general. Statements from bin Laden and those associated with him prior to 9-11 consistently expressed anger with the U.S. military presence on the Arabian Peninsula, U.S. aggression against the Iraqi people and U.S. support of Isrial. The 9-11 Commission based its assessments on testimony from experts on terrorism and the Middle East.
"The 9-11 Commission based its assessments on testimony from experts on terrorism and the Middle East. Asked about the motivations of the terrorists, FBI Special Agent James Fitzgerald told the commission: "I believe they feel a sense of outrage against the United States. They identify with the Palestinian problem, they identify with people who oppose repressive regimes, and I believe they tend to focus their anger on the United States."
As you can see Paul is the only candidate who knows what he is talking about. The others are just pandering.
G.O.P. Debate number 2
It is clear that Ron Paul is winning. Fox news does not give him credit of course.
Here are the comments from ABC in case they delete them, which i think they already have because there are only 14 posts

All candidates speak of winning the war in Iraq. Yet no one defines what exactly constitutes a win.
The question is - will they have to define what a "win" is to have a chance at winning the election
Posted by: hh | May 15, 2007 9:29:39 PM
I am talking about winning the war in Iraq. The White House has defined a win several times - and keeps changing the definitions. Should be expect anything different from this field of candidates?
Once out of Iraq we can then focus on fighting the never-ending battle on terror.

Wow, Ron Paul totally owned Giuliani! Giuliani thinks terrorists are attacking us because we are free? That's insane. Ron Paul taught him a thing or two about global politics and then he schooled Hannity after the debate. I thought Hannity was going to cry. The media can't spin this one for Giuliani. The people can see who won that debate.
Posted by: John | May 16, 2007 1:24:05 AM
Ron Paul was exactly right about why we're such a target for terrorists.
That's why he's winning all the polls.

The facsist dept of homeland security should be "spiked" as you put it.
Go Ron Paul! He was the only candidate up there who didnt seem as phoney as a 3 dollar bill.
Posted by: TruckIt! | May 16, 2007 1:29:17 AM
It's funny, because Ron Paul seems to always get the least amount of air time, but he almost always gets the victory. It's because his message rings true for the true majority. His supporters are the Americans that have done their homework on what the real issues are. It really is wonderful. The mainstream media can't hide the freedom message forever.
Ron Paul FTW!!!

Which is it Rudy,
if we attacked Iraq because Al-qaida was there, then doesn't that mean Al-qaida was there BEFORE 9/11???
If not then why did we attack Iraq?
Terrorism does not occur in a vacuum.
When was the last time sqitzerland got attacked? They're free, democratic and rich, so why was it us instead??
Posted by: Mick | May 16, 2007 1:53:20 AM
I thought as a whole it was a very good debate. Much better than the first one and I did not expect that from Fox News. On that note, Ron Paul was the only person to stand up and say what everyone is thinking. I really hope they give him a chance because he is a light at the end of a very very dark tunnel.

ABC Plays stupid.....
As you can see from the below posts, this is an obvious lie. I have personally called ABC many times over the past week demanding answers and I was given responces such as "It is just one person so we are deleting" or " it was a glitch in the system." Fnyy though that this story is the ONLY one on the entire site that had this problem.
ABC I call you out. I have the evidence on this very site to prove you wrong. Tell us the truth!
We demand to know WHY you are keeping us from people like Ron Paul and Mike Gravel.

comments from ABC
UPDATE may 11th they put comments back up with a little lie....
Ron paul, while i do not like as much as Mike Gravel are not getting their fair share. They are the only ones who are standing up for the american people. People in other countries around the world are all telling me what a great person he is. we need a guy like paul or gravel in 08. about time the comments are back, ill copy them again just in case pmalloy.blogspot.com if you wanna see the old comments and screenshots as proof of ABC censorship

Ron Paul effect? Could it be just maybe this is a guy to pay attention to? Come on, the war monger McCain or the democrat in Rupublican clothing Guillani. These are not any kind of options. Ron Paul is the only one that rings true with people. In stead of playing down this real candidate maybe ABC News could start paying attention to what the people are saying. As far as a couple of Ron Paul supporters casting 1000s of votes, wouldn't MSNBC use any sort of IP tracking? This concept seems very unlikely and really bad journalism to include in an article. Get with it ABC, Ron Paul is coming and we (the people) will lose what little respect is left for ABC after the whole swallowing hook, line and sinker on the WMDs thing a couple of years ago if these sorts of articles is all you can run about a very real candidate.

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate that cares about the US Constitution and your rights. Count in one more voice who thinks that, at least on the Republican side of the race, Ron Paul should win.

Before the boundaries of my Congressional district were redrawn, I had the honor to vote for (and be represented by) Ron Paul. He is one of the few members of Congress that actually understands and respects the U.S. Constitution. I wholeheartedly support his run for president. I do not expect any favorable media coverage of Ron Paul. The MSM is an integral part of the corporatist empire, and Paul's commitment to the Constitution makes him an enemy of the Ministry of Truth.

I had never noticed Ron Paul before the debate. In that setting, amidst the mealy-mouthed field of Republican hopefuls, he caught MY attention and I've since been reading and Googling further to form a clearer impression of his politics. You may be mistaken in thinking a viral assault on your poll produced unexpected results. Is it too inconceivable that people were watching that debate and found themselves surprised by one candidate's candor and intelligence? I am not a Republican - but I am grateful that someone is authentically expressing the Republican point of view.

To PublicMailbox: My question to you is whether people would be questioning IP addresses and how many times people voted if Giuliani or McCain had won the online polls? It sickens me to no end that you and others in the media think it's impossible that Ron Paul appeals to many, many people. I know Democrats and Republicans who adore the man. My 65 year old parents who have been staunch Bush supporters and have been pro-war until now are enamored with Ron Paul and plan to vote for him. Guess why? Because Bush and the other so-called conservatives are creating open borders and letting illegal immigrants get away with things that American citizens aren't allowed to do. So for all you media types, please realize that Republicans and not just LIbertarians are #### to Ron Paul because of his stance on the border (for one thing). I hate to break it to you, but it's not just Libertarians voting in these polls. You are deluding yourself if you think so. If Bush had pardoned Ramos and Campios (sp?) maybe it would be a different story. Bush lost the election for all Republicans except Ron Paul by his lack of action on the border.

What evidence does RICK KLEIN have that the polls were rigged by repeat voting from Ron Paul supporters? And, what difference was there in the MSNBC poll right before the debate with expected results and after the debate where Ron Paul came out the winner. Was the MSNBC poll suddenly rigged after the debate and not before? Looks like a blatant attempt by ABC news and RICK KLEIN to spin opinion.

I find it very disturbing that you would insult the intelligence of the American voter. The country does not want Hilliary Clinton, John McCain or the alleged 911 hero. Ron Paul is the real deal.

The author of this article clearly neglects to mention the significant fact that the MSNBC poll restricted voters to one vote per IP address.....and that the Democratic debate poll had a similar participation rate to the Republican poll. If the author is going to insinuate the poll results were tampered with, don't you think he should explain what lead him to that conclusion? I'm not saying the MSNBC poll results are of great significance, but I think a more intelligent and objective analysis of the MSNBC internet voter demographics would have been a more appropriate discussion....and that ABC made a poor decision to publish this article as it was. This whole episode clearly demonstrates why we can't trust a handful of major media corporations to freely and fairly report the news......and how they can abuse their power to shape perception. We desperately need constitutional reform, campaign finance reform, fiscal reform, and foreign policy reform. I don't see one other Republicrat who I would trust to honestly and objectively pursue the policies for the better good of the American people. I think Dr. Paul could could appeal to a lot of people like me who left the Republican Party to vote for Reform with Ross Perot in 1992 and 1996.....and have continued to distance themselves more as the moral authoritarians have become more entrenched in the Republican Party.

Alright i will take v's advice I can't really wait for the 15th this is going to be great!!!!:D:D:D:D I mean Ron Paul isnt getting much coverage on Mainstream Media, but On the internet, and STILL he is doing very well. It does, however, make me mad how websites are censoring other websites such as prison planet. Like Paul said, There should be a different way to regualte what goes on the internet , not FULLY controlling it. We can do that by fighting for Net Neutrality, but from the looks of it, it's getting late. I support Ron Paul all the way and I am getting the word around about him. The best way we can do that is by simply posting banners about his website, or getting people to realize WHO he is and WHAT he believes in. What I mean by this, most people where I live don't care about this umm...call it "Wonderland", we have to get involved and speak to anyone we know, about Ron Paul. RON PAUL 2008!!!!

The problem here ABC is not that this is some "internet anomaly" it is about truth. About standing up for truth in government and standing up for your convictions. Sure all of what Ron Paul stands for would be hard tasks to be completed in even 4 years of a presidency. Besides that if he did he most likely would be assassinated as other presidents have who have stood up to the NWO/Globalists. It sure would be worth it to try. So this is underground under rated as the MSM will not help in the quest for TRUTH! God bless Ron Paul!!

They use carefully crafted techniques in order to discredit him and his advocates. The most popular of which is posing like a Ron Paul supporter. These techniques have the unfortunate effect of sucking in naive yet well-intentioned people into ridiculous arguments that detract from the main point, hoping that these peoples' missteps will help further discredit Dr. Paul. Truely Orwellian this is. This guy thinks he works for the ministry of love. I wonder if they have even read the book. Perhaps ABC has just put their pet chicken near a delete key and a timed release pelet falls every so often. That way noone has to take responsibility it was all the chickens fault. Oh wait never mind ABC is incorporated they are responsible to no one.

Libertarianism is a philosophy that individuals are the owners of themselves and have the right to do anything they want as long as it does not infringe upon the rights of others. With this understanding it is imperative to understand that all actions should be voluntary. Laissez-faire capitalism is the economic theory of free markets. It is the idea that markets should not be interfered with by governments. Government interference only empowers monopolists by crushing their competition with regulations before it has a chance to grow organically. Ron Paul supports both concepts.

For anyone visiting this page for the first time, remember this. There are people commenting here that have a vested interest in discrediting Ron Paul. Paul. Pay no attention to any ludicrous statements and instead perform objective research and come to your own conclusions.

The comment by Alisson is completely ridiculous in it's prejudice and detracts from the true nature of this discussion. I think it is well established by those who have the wherewithal to think for ourselves that Mr. Paul was the clear winner of the debate.

Ron Paul is a Democratic candidate, he does not support closure of Free Speech. He is a 1st Amendment supporter. I'm sure the enemies of free speech would like the Jew Chertoff's Soviet style "Homeland Security" NKVD to put all political dissenters in the Gulags. Ron Paul is aginst that, Ron is for the 1st Amendment. VOTE for RON PAUL. Vote for Democracy.

In a Democracy people can talk about race. Only in fascist Bolshevist Jewish terror states are people brow beaten into not talking about race. This country was founded by White Men not Pancho Villa and a bunch of Mestizos and Jews, those are facts not opinon. Sorry if that offends you 24 yr. old. Jew controllers wtaching this web board live. You even are watching our comments live as they are typed. We are watching you too. But Democracy is about Freedom of Speech.

Stormfront is using abusive language and generalizations to discredit this thread for those who are really interested in this candidate and what he stands for. It is surely obvious to most that have posted here that there is a concerted effort by many individuals to blemish the image of an untarnished Mr. Paul who came out of this debate as the clear victor.

I urge everyone to go to house.gov/paul and read Paul's speeches and newsletters to see what he is about. He's an incredible gift of liberty for this nation. Watch "Freedom to Fascism" and "The Money Masters" on Google Video to understand how far from liberty this country has fallen.

MY very own number (copyright)
0D B2 3D C5 23 58 4D 70 E8 94 67 A4 10 31 A9 89
what is this? Why it is MY very own copyrighted number. Thats right I OWN this number according the the DMCA. If anyone is using this number for any reason, I can send them a DMCA takedown notice just like AACS did with the HD-DVD Hex code.
Google this and if any responces show up than its time for me to start issuing takedown notices!
It will be extremely funny if by some chance this code happens to be used by AACS in the future :)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/84796146@N00/490856439/
Well i have 2 ideas. The first idea is that we won. Personally i have been making phone calls all day long and I know many others have been also. So far in the past month we have gotten Ron Paul AND Mike Gravel into the debates, We have called out Yahoo to update their site to include Ron Paul, We have told the MPAA to go fuck themselves and Kevin From Digg.com Caved to us. And now it looks like we got ABC to cave.
The other less apealing opption is that 4:30 when the comments were left alone is just when the IT department goes home. So far so good Lets keep up the good work and use our power for good.

The magic Number is useless... What does this mean for us??
What does this mean legally to those who were apart of the revolt and posted said number? Let me begin with IANAL (I am not a lawyer) This piece is just intended to spark discussion.
IF this number was in fact rendered useless on a date before the posting of the numbers, how can one be legally held responsible for a number for a product that is in fact not a valid number? The number was removed from discs as of april 23rd meaning this number is a dated number and all discs made ofter that date will not use this number (my guess is we will have the new number found within the month but thats another story)
So my question to those of you out there is can one get in legal hot water for posting a string of numbers that do nothing at this point?

Digg gets dugg
Everyone knows what it is. T shirts are on the way. It's Sixteen hexadecimal digits that unlock most currently released HD-DVD movies from the AACS content protection system. These sixteen digits that have been seen by millions, posted in blogs all over -- and in many cases, removed only to be reposted -- that they're hard to avoid.
IT all started with this man, Cory Doctorow with his blog "Pwned: How everyone on campus is a copyright criminal" was served a C&C and caved in. They were posted to Wikipedia, then removed and currently the blog wiki is locked. Then it was time for digg. For a few days now the number had been floating around harmlessly. Than a post hit the front page and was taken down and a user ended up getting banned. (probably more at this point)
Now the funny thing is by trying to supress the numbers, all that happened was that more people actually saw them. Lets look at it like this 1 story is off the front page usually within the hour at peak times in the day. By causing this coup it has been on the front page in every story all day long. Perhaps kevin knows what he is doing. Perhaps he is playing nice with them while fully expecting this to happen? By now more people have seen this key than they would have and i bet someone out there will digg up the stats to back up this claim, look at normal top story topics in a day vs Digg all day on may 1st 2007. I will almost put money on the fact that more people have seen this story.
UPDATE 1:45 A.M Eastern.
Digg has decided they had enough, take a look for yourselves.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/84796146@N00/480981075/
UPDATE: 2:36 AM Digg is back up, and the numers are still rampant with pissed off diggers.
UPDATE 2:45 Kevin, the founder of Digg.com made a statement
"
Today was an insane day. And as the founder of Digg, I just wanted to post my thoughts…
In building and shaping the site I’ve always tried to stay as hands on as possible. We’ve always given site moderation (digging/burying) power to the community. Occasionally we step in to remove stories that violate our terms of use (eg. linking to pornography, illegal downloads, racial hate sites, etc.). So today was a difficult day for us. We had to decide whether to remove stories containing a single code based on a cease and desist declaration. We had to make a call, and in our desire to avoid a scenario where Digg would be interrupted or shut down, we decided to comply and remove the stories with the code.
But now, after seeing hundreds of stories and reading thousands of comments, you’ve made it clear. You’d rather see Digg go down fighting than bow down to a bigger company. We hear you, and effective immediately we won’t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be.
If we lose, then what the hell, at least we died trying.
Digg on,
Kevin"
could this be the beginning of something great?? =or the death of a great site. only time will tell.
